Slotted Screws

Traditional slotted, round head wood screws that are perfect for restoration work. We begin with zinc coated wood screws. We safely remove the zinc with a weak acid solution. The screw is then heated in the forge and then finished with the same quality product that we use on our other items.

All of our screws have a wax applied to them while still warm from the forging process. If they are to be used outdoors without protection from the elements, we suggest that you apply an exterior paint designed or metal surfaces. We have found that the applied wax works well for interior and sheltered areas.
The square head on our lag screws have been forged by hand, each item will vary slightly. We suggest using an open end or adjustable wrench when installing your project. If ordering multiple items, we will strive to ship items that are very similar.
